Vicky Juliano is a native of Athens, Tennessee and holds a degree in music from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She has performed professionally as a pianist and composed many musical works.
Vicky will begin her sixth year as music director at First Presbyterian in 2010. She is a composer and author as well as director. Her pre-school piano method, “First Steps In Children’s Music,” was published by Hansen House Publications. A favorite composition is “The Tie That Binds,” a musical written for the sesquicentennial celebration for FPC. Her children's musical, "Dreamcatchers", was her first full length literary and musical composition to be performed in public. Her first novel, “Holier Than Thou”, was published in August of 2007. Among her musical compositions are God of All the Ages, a hymn of dedication in honor of FPC; The Table of Remembrance, an anthem for SATB choir; American Sketches, a collection for solo piano; Dedication Suite for organ; Lullabies for vocals and piano; and a host of other compositions as well as educational materials.
Christmas of 2008 was the premiere of an original work with lyricist, Annette Pickard called “Come With Me.” The coming year holds possibilities of other creative ideas coming to fruition with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. |
